Life Away From the Garden

This is what I wore today. I customized the shorts myself; I will show you how. I got inspired by the following picture in a French fashion magazine:

I loved the look of these patchwork high waisted denim shorts so I thought to myself 'I can make something like that'. So I did. I bought very cheap high waisted jeans at the thrift store and flipped through the various pieces of fabric in my collection. Here's a step-to-step guide to making patchwork high waisted denim shorts. What you'll need for this DIY:

- high waisted jeans (thriftstore)

- differently printed colourful pieces of fabric

- scissors

- needle and thread

- pins

Cut off the jeans and roll up the ends 

Arrange the different fabrics and cut them so they'll fit on the places 
where you want them. Pin the fabric down and start stitching!

Finish stitching the fabric on the jeans, and then you'll have the final result!
